Members of the BenCham PRD community enjoyed a warm welcome to Danone in Zhongshan on Friday, August 25, 2017. Hosted by Erwin van Grootel, VP Operations, and Michelle Jiang, Plant Manager, Danone informed the group about their unique mission to bring health through food to as many people as possible. Together with Danone’s great respect for social responsibility and the environment, it was refreshing to hear about the company’s vision to deliver healthy beverages as well as to witness their strict standards of hygiene and safety within their factories.

The tour allowed our members to see three production lines at 32,000 bottles per hour each and one at 24,000 bottles per hour. It was evident that the factory is a high efficient plant that prides itself in cleanliness. Members were invited to sample several of the top selling Danone beverages which provided much relief from the hot weather.
